Abstract submission

General information:

  • Abstracts on research in medical education, scholarships of teaching and learning, and innovations in medical education are invited for oral or poster presentations
  • The work done must be original and appropriate clearance from the institutional ethics committee must have been obtained if it involves human participants
  • At least one author presenting the work must register for the conference.
  • Abstracts must fit with the theme of the conference and must be related to any topic on medical education and can be at any level from undergraduate, postgraduate and super specialties. Abstracts that are not related to medical education will not be considered for presentation

Research in medical education



Primary research on any topic related to medical education.

Format: Background and Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusions

Scholarship of teaching and learning


Studies describing measures introduced to improve teaching and learning of medical students and trainees and how it enhanced learning experiences and outcomes.

Format: Issues faced before the study, modifications made to teaching and learning, outcomes and reflections

Innovations in medical education



It includes but is not limited to development, validation, and implementation of innovations in curriculum, instructional strategies, teaching learning methods, and assessment methods.

Format: Needs/motivation for the innovation, description of the innovation, outcomes and reflections.

Title: Limited to 15 words
Authors and affiliations: Full names of the authors and affiliations; Presenting author must be indicated
Word count: Limited to 300 words
Format : as per the abstract category
Font: Times New Roman, size 12
Mode of presentation: Poster/E-Poster/Oral/Recorded Oral
The final decision on the mode of presentation will be made by the abstract and scientific committee.

Review of abstracts and announcements of decisions:
All abstracts submitted will be reviewed by our scientific and abstract committee members. The decisions taken by the committee members will be final.
Abstracts will be shortlisted for poster and oral presentations. Attractive prizes will be given to the winners.
Abstracts not shortlisted for presentation will be put up as e-posters and recorded oral presentations. Attractive prizes will be given for selected presentations for these categories as well. All submitting authors will obtain an e-certificate.
